After leaving
school early Saturday morning, we finally arrived at the San Francisco Foodbank, a mere two hours later. Although exhausted
from our journey we were eager to get straight to work. We met with our our supervisor for the day who quickly explained
the day's tasks.
He led us into
the main warehouse, showed us the conveyer belt we would be using, and all of the food supplies. All of the food is donated
by the USDA: the United States Department of Agriculture. We were told that we would be making grocery boxes for single mothers
and the elderly.
